Everything above is an example of a lead generation offer.

Everything below is why it works so well.

Q: How to get new people in the door now?

A: Make an offer they can't refuse.

Here's one.

Action Plan #1: Neighborhood School Jam

Create an offer so great they feel stupid saying no, then get it in front of them.

Let's build an offer and product  landing page that is irrestible for kids and schools near you.

Email all of the schools in a three mile radius. We've already written the email and found the schools for you.

We'll help every step of the way. No time? We'll get it done for you. We're on your team.

Send this email to the schools near you.

Local Business Near Mt. Tabor Middle School with a Fun Pickleball Idea!

Dear Principal Arnold,

I am one of the co-owners of The People's Courts, located near you in Portland at 2700 NE 82nd Ave. We are an indoor and outdoor pickleball facility, and our tagline is, "We're bringing fun back to the City of Roses, and everyone's invited." We want to give back to schools near us, so we want to do a fundraiser for Mt. Tabor Middle School that we think your students and community will love!

We're thinking we could do a $20 "Back to School Pickleball Night Fundraiser" in September and give 50% of the proceeds back to Mt. Tabor Middle School. We're looking at dates about two months out.

We'd make flyers for you that you could post to promote it, and if you have a school newsletter, we can write copy to include there. I know you are busy, so we'll handle all of the details and make this extremely easy for you and your staff.

Giving your students a chance to join the Pickleball night is great community building, great skill development, and just plain fun, not to mention an easy way for you to raise money for Mt. Tabor Middle School.

If this sounds interesitng, please let me know a good time to discuss it (and let me know if I should also loop in someone from the Mt. Tabor Middle School Parent Club.)

Best regards,

David Sacks
Co-owner, The People's Courts

What is the marketing strategy with the highest ROI?

Design, build, and launch

Lead Generation Offers

to get new customers and grow your list.

Questions? Answers!

What is a lead generation offer, and why is it such a great (and inexpensive!) marketing channel?

A lead generation offer is an event designed to attract new customers, such as the example above--a fundraiser co-sponsored by a local school.

These events get new people in your doors and generate valuable leads you can sell other offers to by capturing attendees' contact information.

Hosting such events is an excellent way to market your space, showcase what you offer, and build a targeted email list of interested future customers.

How does a lead generation event help grow my email list?

Every attendee who signs up for the event is self-selecting as having an interest in what you offer.

The goal is--now that they have paid you and demonstrated their interest, and you have their info--generate new offers and turn them into frequent customers.

The email list is incredibly valuable for future marketing campaigns, as it allows you to target a specific audience that is more likely to convert into paying customers with new offers designed just for them.

How do I use segmented email lists effectively after a lead generation event?

A segmented email list allows you to categorize your contacts based on their interests and behaviors.

For example, someone who comes to a lead generation event for a school fundraiser targeting elementary-age kids can now be segmented to receive offers for camps and teacher-in-service workday camps.

This enables you to send personalized and relevant content to each segment, increasing the chances of engagement and conversion.

Why do marketers say "there is gold in the list"?

Marketers say "there is gold in the list" because a well-maintained and segmented email list is incredibly powerful. It allows your business to send highly targeted offers to specific groups of people. This increases the likelihood of engagement, conversions, and customer loyalty.

What are the critical components of a successful lead generation event?

The critical components for a successful lead generation event include:

  • Clear Target Audience: Have a clear idea of who you want to target.
  • Compelling Offer: Make a compelling, exciting, and gorgeous offer to share with them.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Sometimes, you want to get key stakeholders onboard, but other times you don't need to. It depends on the nature and scale of the event.
Can you help with using lead generation event marketing and get new customers in the door.

Absolutely! This is what we do!
